That all depends on what people think of the site, if everyone likes it we will keep it, if not then we wont, but as of right now, i am not sure if our old site will ever be back, but if it is, we can revert to it. Just let me have your feedback on this site. If everyone hates it, I will set up a new one with a similar format to our old site.

nice forum layout, though it loads a little slowly (at least at work, which is where I usually browse forums).

I like it, like Broonor says, it may take a little getting used to. But, it is more appealing on the eyes. :) And I seem to be able to browse this one from home - our dang ISP block the old site, so I could never use it unless I was at work. Nice work, Gorthin!

I have a headache but not sure if that's from reading this site, or from playing LOTRO for 12 hours straight. hrrrmmm oh... btw... my name is Healonu and I'm not even in your kinship. I met a DIAS member who has been very helpful, kind, and respectful and that motivated me to explore your site. :) Heck, I'm glad you even HAVE a site! hehe

So what do you think of las vegas?

HAHAHAHA it had to be asked.

It, then has to be answered! lol Let the venting begin! In order for anyone to better understand where my disloyalty for Vegas stems from, you must first know that I come from a land of greenery, of moist clean air...of drinkable water, of fishing and no extreme heat or cold. I come from Washington state. I moved to vegas and found myself in another world. Since moving here 5 years ago... I feel I have earned the right to tell it like it is from an outsider's pov. :P

The Dr's office has confirmed that now there is a condition called Las Vegas Asthma, sshhh but keep it hush hush, for the tourists... people from here have been suffering breathing problems here, and yours truly is included now. Some say it's from the reported and contraversial Area 51 burning toxic waste into the air back in... oops not supposed to talk about that!

Sinus problems? Well, if you have never had allergies, nor sinus problems don't feel left out.. you can come to Vegas and immediately start suffering about 355 days of the year from your new found allergies and sinus infections! 90% of the population here suffer from this. Nice? Wait, there's more! You say you are bored in your small town? Well come here and you will be too scared to go outdoors for fear of being shot by villians AND the police! Yep that's right Vegas sports a very high crime rate and many gun-slinging trigger happy cops! Weee! This fun place is too much! OH I know! How about taking an enjoyable ride somewhere? Wait a second... is that ANOTHER car accident!? I see maybe on average 4 accidents with fatalities a day here. Could it be the free alcohol the casinos serve their patrons? One never knows... hehe At least the kids who are run down by drivers are down to 3 a week now!
Oh, here you look beat from worrying about the crime, air, and the car accidents, have a glass of nice fresh water... You mean that stuff that smells like sewage? Okay! The drinking water, although it's been said over and over and over again by the water authorities that it's "safe" to drink, has a terrible taste and comes from lake mead after they "treat" it... now Lake Mead has evaporated over the years and has the highest content of concentrated minerals in it... however that can block your liver and kidneys if consumed on a daily basis... even our veteranarian says not to give the dog fawcett water. You say you're still not convinced Las Vegas is a great place to live? Okay... well, I hope you have your bathing suit and some sun screen 1-billion! Last year and the year before we endured 123 degree and 128 degree scorching heat. But hey, it's a dry heat... at least it only burns when you breathe in the air on those days... You say you love to fish, well Vegas has a park that has fishing! Yeah, you go there and there is a huge concrete pond, and 100s of piles of geese n duck poop everywhere... good for cushioning when you sit to fish, I suppose... hehe... I went fishing there once and I'll never go again... too depressing when you've experienced the real thing! Constantly we live in fear of running out of water here... some people refuse to shower so as to save us from the drought here... that leads to some "in my space" issues hehe... The housing is overpriced here and without the option of being more than 2 feet from your neighbors. Not in all places but it's been increasingly the norm in new construction these days. OH! construction! Las Vegas highways, biways, and streets are all in disrepair and under construction at all times. You say you like waving to the flag guy tho? Well good cuz he and his buddies milk the state for all they are worth as they sit around doing nothing for days on end in the guise of "fixing" a road. I can't speak for others here, I just have my own opinion, but if I had to do it all over again, I would have made my husband move to WASHINGTON instead of the other way around! lol

I support my husband and never complain about this place out loud to him (anymore) so I appreciate the opportunity to vent a little... sorry if I've stepped on anyone's toes who may be from here... but c'mon... you know all I've said is true so, meh. hehe

So in a nutshell, the polution, health risks, heat, water, fishing, lack of greenery,

Ah, you must be talking about the minstrel, Luteus Maximus. The guardian of the rear - he backs up each and every one of us! He's a hobbit though, so be careful not to sit on him. Haha.

Pleased to meet you Healonu and welcome to the site. I have been playing MMOs since UO came out and I don't think I have met a nicer bunch of players. As for your rant on Vegas, I personally have no desire to go there. I have a bunch of friends that like to make yearly trips out there but it is not my thing I guess.
HAHAHAH Luteus Maximus. No matter what I always crack up when I see his name in game.

Hope to see you soon Healonu.

Welcome to the DIAS site Healonu, it's nice to meet you! I can't say a single bad thing about the people in our kin, it really is a great group of friendly, helpful, and fun people. I look forward to meeting you in game and hopefully welcoming our two groups to end up being one big happy one!
